Well, when i was 4, my dad bought a trusty XBox.

we had tons and tons and tons of fun playing all kinds of games together
我們父子在一起玩了很多的遊戲，玩的不亦樂乎
until he died, when i was just 6.
直到他逝世...當(dāng)時(shí)我才 6 歲
i couldnt touch that console for 10 years.
往後的十年，我根本無法接觸那臺 XBox

but once i did, i noticed something.
但有一次我開機(jī)後，我發(fā)現(xiàn)了一件事情
we used to play a racing game, Rally Sports Challenge.
當(dāng)時(shí)我們父子一起玩的一款遊戲賽車遊戲『越野挑戰(zhàn)賽』
actually pretty awesome for the time it came.
實(shí)際上當(dāng)年他推出時(shí)，真的很好玩！
and once i started meddling around... i found a GHOST.literaly.
當(dāng)我開始遊玩時(shí)...我遇到了真正的幽靈

you know, when a time race happens,
你知道的，在計(jì)時(shí)賽會發(fā)生的事情
that the fastest lap so far gets recorded as a ghost driver?
就是在計(jì)時(shí)賽當(dāng)中的最佳紀(jì)錄保持者，會以幽靈狀態(tài)出來與你競賽
yep, you guessed it
沒錯(cuò)，答案呼之欲出了
his ghost still rolls around the track today.
老爸的靈魂直到今天依舊在場上奔馳
and so i played and played,and played,
所以我不斷的挑戰(zhàn)，一次又一次
untill i was almost able to beat the ghost.
直到我可以慢慢的可以追上老爸的靈魂
until one day i got ahead of it,i surpassed it, and...
直到那天，我終於跑到老爸靈魂的前面，我終於超越他了...
i stopped right in front of the finish line,
我在終點(diǎn)前放手
just to ensure i wouldnt delete it.
不讓父親的靈魂就這樣被我覆蓋住
