TOUGEN ANKI is a popular manga series by Yura Urushibara, published in AKITASHOTEN’s Weekly Shōnen Champion. Drawing from the beloved Japanese folktale “Momotaro,” the series depicts the conflict between descendants of Oni (demons) and Momotaro. With the manga having surpassed 3 million cumulative units printed, the TOUGEN ANKI Project was launched in June 2023. The first installment of the project was a stage play, and now, as the second installment, TOUGEN ANKI is set to receive a TV anime adaptation.
Shiki Ichinose, who is living a normal life as an ordinary human, is suddenly attacked by a mysterious man affiliated with the Momotaro Agency. While fleeing with his foster father, he learns that their pursuers are descendants of the folk hero Momotaro and that he himself has Oni blood.

The protagonist who inherits the blood of an Oni. Shiki’s life is turned upside down when he is suddenly attacked by a “Momotaro,” leading him to discover his true Oni heritage. Following this revelation, he enrolls in Rasetsu Academy, a training school for Oni.

A classmate of Shiki at Rasetsu Academy. He looks and acts like an honor student, but it seems his thoughts are quite different...?
NATSUKI HANAE
A classmate of Shiki at Rasetsu Academy. He has a cowardly and pessimistic personality.
KAITO MIURA
A classmate of Shiki at Rasetsu Academy. She is often referred to as the “overly devoted girl” due to her exceptionally caring nature.
