The Top Mobile Games for January 2019: Brawl Stars Shoots Onto The Revenue Charts

These were the top mobile games worldwide for January 2019 according to Sensor Tower data.

Brawl Stars Revenue Week One Hero

For the first time since June 2018, a new title made its way onto the global mobile game revenue top 10 last month: Brawl Stars from Supercell, which grossed more than $50 million. Apart from it, the remaining nine were longtime members of this elite ranking. In this report, we show how the world's highest grossing and most installed mobile games stacked up for the month of January 2019, based on Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data.

Top Mobile Games by Revenue for January 2019

Brawl Stars entered the topmost tier of earning games last month at No. 10 overall, ranking at No. 8 on Google Play. Supercell's first new title since spring of 2016 did not make the App Store top 10, ranking at No. 13 on Apple's platform. While no other new titles made the overall revenue top 10 for January, several did improve their rankings, including Candy Crush Saga, Lineage M, and Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle.

Top Mobile Games by Downloads for January 2019

On the downloads ranking, Color Bump 3D, a hyper-casual title from 101 Digital, debuted at No. 1 overall. Polysphere, a puzzle game from Playgendary, was the only other new title on the overall top 10, ranking at No. 9. It was the No. 2 game by downloads on Apple's App Store for the month.
